Internationally renowned Italian neurosurgeon and academic, founder and president of the Atena Foundation, an organization dedicated to research and innovation in neurosurgery. A specialist in brain and spinal surgery, he has held senior positions in numerous hospitals and scientific institutions, including chief of neurosurgery at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. Maira is also a lecturer at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. Author of numerous scientific articles and books, he is a pioneer in innovative techniques in functional neurosurgery. He is distinguished for his commitment to scientific popularization and promotion of nervous system health.
